My name is Oscar Hurtado, I'm 26 years old and I'm from Colombia, South America. I studied Computer Engineering and now I'm focusing on Film Directing and Photography. I have also done courses on Screenwriting, Edting, Cinematography, Dramaturgy and Acting.
This site was developed in order to expose my work in areas such as filmmaking, photography, drawing and sculpting.
Under Movies you will find a small selection of shorts I wrote, directed and produced. In this section you can also read the synopsis of each of the films and learn more about the genre and production. Making movies helps me discover myself and others in such a way that I can understand life better. If you enter my Photos section you can take a look at my exploration of patterns, shape, texture, form, lighting and composition. I basically take pictures of scenes I am faced to while walking around town or when I visit places. I'm a strong believer that you can take great photographs at any place you go, it's just a matter of training the eye and have it ready to detect such outstanding elements that surrounds it.
Take a look at my Drawings section to find some samples of my "Manga" related characters. I have a strong japanese animation influence in what I draw because I learned to while looking at japanese tv shows and felt always interested in such way of illustration. Most of my drawings deal with female nudes, so if you are offended by such nature or if you are a minor, this section isn't for you.
